I read this book off of a recommendation from one of my go to authors, Claire Riley. Little did I know she was actually a character in the book. This story was funny and a quick summer read. I really needed something light and refreshing and this book was just perfect. I found myself laughing out loud several times throughout this story.

“I’d apparently misunderstood the sexual deprivation and borderline psychotic fantasies of this country’s romance-reading community.”

I am fairly new to the blogging world, but I have seen some of the ugly parts of the reading community. Miss Silver does not discriminate on who she makes fun of here. The authors, the bloggers, the reader, the agents, they are all in the line of fire. I myself have acted ridiculous and fan-girled like crazy when I’ve gotten to meet a few of my favorite authors. So much hilarity ensues throughout, that I could never seem to put this one down.

There is also a very hot romance that takes place. Hot and also very sweet. Monica and Michael have some serious chemistry.

If you are an author, a blogger or a reader who has attended a signing event you absolutely must read this book!

“They shouted, pulled my hair, tried to rip off my clothes, and grabbed my junk. Phones flew up into the air, snapping videos and pictures. Women threw room keys, flowers, underpants, pennies, and I believe I even saw a tampon fly.”

4.5 hilarious stars and a bottle of vodka! Enjoy!
