When three college besties meet three hot guys in Vegas, anything can—and does—happen. Book Four in the New York Times Wild Seasons series that began with Sweet Filthy Boy (the Romantic Times book of the year that Sylvia Day called “a sexy, sweet treasure of a story”), Dirty Rowdy Thing, and Dark Wild Night.

For two people ambivalent about dating and love, they sure get naked around each other an awful lot . . .

London Hughes is very content to surf daily, tend bar, hang out with her group of friends, and slowly orient herself in the years after college. Everything’s going great and according to the non-plan.

But when a wave knocks her for a loop one morning, then Luke Sutter’s flirtatious smile knocks her for another that evening, she veers slightly off course…and into his path. Sure, he’s a total player, but the Why not—it’s only one night is a persistent voice in her ear.

For his part, Luke’s been on hookup autopilot for so long that he rarely ever pauses to consider what he’s doing. But after an amazing time with London, he realizes that he hasn’t been moving on from a devastating heartbreak so much as he’s been drifting to wherever—and whomever—the current takes him. With London he wants more.

Every relationship involves two people…plus their pasts. And as much as she enjoys her fling with Luke, when London learns about his past—more specifically, who’s in it—everything becomes the brand of complicated she strives to avoid. It’s up to Luke then to change some things in order to try and ensure he’s not something she’ll outright avoid as well.

falling in love isn’t about who makes you feel the best, but who could make you the most miserable if they leave

I loved all of the books in this series, so I was super excited to read this one. I waited until just the right time to pick this one up. I would look at it every so often as I walked by my bookshelf, but I had to wait until I was ready for something that is the perfect mix of dirty, sexy, fun and also full of feeling. Yes, there is sex, lots of it. And yes it is dirty, and fun. But damn if these two don’t manage to write one hell of a story that makes the sex more of a bonus than the focus of the story.

Luke and London are really the perfect mix. He is a stereotypical bad boy and she is the epitome of a girl who is running from growing up and love. Their relationship is hard won. Nothing about them getting together is easy; except their attraction to each other. There is so much heat between them they could have caught the pages on fire. London has been hurt, so badly that the only way she knows to protect herself is to completely close her heart off. Luke was also hurt, and in return he became the exact opposite of the perfect boyfriend he used to be. He is a womanizer who hardly ever returns a call for a second date. This all changes when he gets London to come home with him. I loved how the story felt authentic.

Both of these characters knew they had things they needed to work on in themselves. The changes came slowly and realistically for both of them. It didn’t happen for Luke overnight just because he met a girl. It came gradually, and after a lot of soul searching. I really loved Luke. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Ansel as my favorite boyfriend from this series, but Luke is a close second. His transformation was so incredible and it was more for him than it was for London. He was always good underneath the surface, he just lost his way. London’s transformation is just as genuine. She knows what she needs to do with herself, but she is scared. Scared to get a real job, scared to fall in love. Luke may have been the catalyst for this change, but again, she does it for herself.

There was just the right amount of angst and drama to keep you ripping through the story.  I really can’t recommend this series enough. It’s NA, but it is so incredibly well written. I am truly sad that this is the end of the series.
