Caroline Reynolds has a fantastic new apartment in San Francisco, a Kitchen Aid mixer to die for, and no O (and we’re not talking Oprah here, folks). She has a flourishing design career, an office overlooking the bay, a killer zucchini bread recipe, and no O. She has Clive (the best cat ever), great friends, a great rack, and no O. Adding insult to O-less, she also has an oversexed neighbor with the loudest late-night wallbanging she’s ever heard. Every moan, spank, and—was that a meow?—punctuates the fact that not only is she losing sleep, she still has—yep, you guessed it—no O. Enter Simon Parker. When the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. Their late-night hallway encounter has…well…mixed results. Because with walls this thin, the tension’s gonna be thick. A delicious mix of silly and steamy, this is an irresistible tale of exasperation at first sight.

“Fucking Wallbanger,” I hissed, frozen on the spot.
His grin slid off as well as he played place-the-face for a moment. “Fucking Pink Nightie Girl.”

What a fun book with a perfect title! This book made me laugh so hard I was nearly in tears at times. When Caroline moves in to a new apartment she gets an intimate introduction to her neighbor through some unfortunately thin bedroom walls.

“The girl next door was meowing. What in the world was my neighbor packing to make that happen?”

She is annoyed by not only that she is unable to sleep but also by the fact that she has been painfully unsatisfied in the bedroom for quite some time. When she actually lays her eyes on Simon she is even more annoyed that he is smoking hot. He comes off as an arrogant jerk, but they quickly develop a very sweet friendship. There is enough sexual tension between them to start a forest fire.

“He was wooing me. And I was letting him woo. I wanted the woo. I deserved the woo. I needed the wow that would surely follow the woo, but for now, the woo? It was whoa.”

I really enjoyed this book. It is a lighthearted romance with lots of laughs, not too much heartache and tons of sexual tension. Caroline’s inner monologue is very honest and entertaining.  Her relationships with not only Simon, but also her friends, are real. This is the way people talk to each other! Don’t even get me started on Clive the cat! How a cat can steal a story is beyond me, but he does it! This book would be perfect for sipping a margarita poolside. Lots of laughs and lots of scorching sexual chemistry.

“The right woman for you wouldn’t want you to change anything about your life. She wouldn’t rock your boat, she’d jump right in and sail it with you.”

4 stars and a strawberry margarita if you’re by the pool. Otherwise a Harvey Wallbanger for sure!!! Enjoy!
