*Can be read as a standalone.

I'm a man without a conscience.
I deal in murder and mayhem.
I'm the best at what I do.
Frankie Helburn is supposed to be an easy job.
A means to flush her father out of hiding.
Simple.
Except there isn't anything simple about Frankie or the secrets she's keeping.
She's cocaine with legs. I'm addicted before I've even had a taste.
I might have her, but I can't keep her.
But if her father doesn't show his face, Frankie will be mine.
To KILL

I honestly cannot get enough of  T.M. Frazier and the King series. I could keep reading these stories indefinitely. The world Frazier has created is raw and dirty and unapologetically brutal. That is not to say that the romance that is woven into this violent world is any less beautiful. To me it makes the love story that much more important. That these characters are able to find such passion when everything else in there lives completely messed up is incredible. Smoke and Frankies story is no different. He has only known vengeance and brutal violence for so long, that when he starts having feelings for Frankie it scares him and downright pisses him off. The only thing he has time for in his life is seeking revenge. He is angry at the world and will hurt anyone that gets in his way. Frankie is running and seeking salvation for crimes she didn’t commit. She is also hiding from some very dangerous people. When their worlds collide, pure chaos ensues. She is confused by her raw attraction to him despite the fact that she hates him more than anyone she’s ever met. Their love story is unconventional to say the least. Raw hatred and pure lust make for an explosive combination.   The combination of action and romance that Frazier writes is unparalleled. She is truly a genius of balancing both sides and creating a fun, gripping story that makes it hard to stop reading. I stayed up into the wee hours desperate to know how things would work out for these two.  5 stars and a bottle of Jack Daniels!
