Lea Baker fell in love with Colby Davis four years ago. The problem? He sees her as one of the guys.

After the party from hell, both of them will be forced to face their true feelings for one another. Once the truth comes out, everything changes.

Colby rescued Lea rescued her from high school hell by taking her dorky, overweight, glasses-wearing self under his wing and including her in the popular group. Now she’s a junior in college, living as his roommate and in love with him. They were best friends who were terrified of the feelings they were avoiding. Because of their love, they both wanted more for each other.

This was a sweet story with likable characters. I loved that they weren’t perfect. They had flaws. They were normal, everyday people; Lea a college student and Colby an aspiring musician. The story had a very natural flow that was nice for a shorter book. Nothing felt rushed or forced in anyway.

A lot happens and is resolved in this short story, but it does end on a cliffhanger with new questions that are left unanswered. It was packed with emotion and endearing moments that can only be shared by two people who know each other inside and out.

I would happily read the next story in this series. It was a great read for an easy afternoon. I look forward to learning about the next chapter of Lea and Colby’s lives.

I give this book 4 stars and would pair it with a hard lemonade.
