Alice Clayton is bringing us a new book later this year that is sure to please. As with all of her books, we are guaranteed the best combination of humor and sexiness out there! In honor of Alice and her new book, we thought we would do a little throwback to some of her first books.
My personal favorite is her Redhead Series. I mean, who wouldn’t love the idea of a 30 something woman catching the eye of a sexy-as-hell 26 year old British actor. (Who may or may not have been Robert Pattinson in Alice’s mind while she wrote.) But this story is so much more than that. Alice created a character who needed to find herself and learn to stand on her own. And she was doing that while doing the hot Brit, more power to her! Here’s our review of The Unidentified Redhead, in case you need more on this.
After her Redhead series came the infamous Wallbanger series. This is where the world is introduced to Simon, A.K.A Wallbanger and the always entertaining Clyde. If you have not met this cast of characters or found the missing “O”, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy now. Just do it. Here’s the link -> http://amzn.to/1h5VKMy Did you do it? Good. If not, read our review of it and then do it.
And in case you are all caught up on your Alice and are dying for her next book, here is a preview:
Roxie Callahan is a private chef to some of Hollywood’s wealthiest, and nastiest, calorie-counting wives. After a dairy disaster implodes her carefully crafted career in one fell ploop, she finds herself back home in upstate New York, bailing out her hippie mother and running the family diner.
When gorgeous local farmer Leo Maxwell delivers her a lovely bunch of organic walnuts, Roxie wonders if a summer back home isn’t such a bad idea after all. Leo is heavily involved in the sustainable slow food movement, and he likes to take his time. In all things. Roxie is determined to head back to the west coast as soon as summer ends, but will the pull of lazy fireflies and her very own Almanzo Wilder be enough to keep her home for good?
Salty. Spicy. Sweet. Nuts. Go on, grab a handful.
