Racing From Chaos is book two in Aubrey Parr’s Sunrise Runners Duology.

The KC Kidnapper was terrorizing the Kansas City area. Mere months earlier he was an amateur, but he learned quickly to fulfill his insatiable appetite to cause pain. And, runners were still on the menu.

It was Violet Moretti’s job to report each abduction on the morning news. She couldn’t escape the details, they consumed her thoughts and haunted her dreams. The obsession was causing her life to crumble.

Detective Dean Kelly has been on the case from the first missing runner and wouldn’t sleep until he had him in cuffs. Violet and Dean found a friendship in the middle of the chaos. The entire ordeal has bonded them together. Could he help her keep it together and continue to smile for the camera each morning?

It’s no secret, I like romance. But i absolutely love suspense. Seeing as this series is romantic suspense, I couldn’t have loved this book anymore. Picking up where Running from Disaster left off, the conclusion of this duology is even more intense than the first installment. Violet is even more determined to help the police find the KC Kidnapper . Meanwhile her friendship with Detective Dean Kelly is becoming even more complicated as the lines of their friendship are getting blurrier than ever. The story is told from multiple points of view and we are given just enough information to not reveal the ending, but to keep  reading at a furious pace until we are given the epic climax. I had my theories along the way but nothing could have prepared me for what was about to happen. This story had so many great elements; forbidden romance, friends to lovers, and such an intense mystery to tie it all together. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and I really hope that Parr writes more in this genre. 5 stars and a Blue Arrow to drink! Enjoy!
