Book #1 in the sexy new Manwhore series from the New York Times bestselling author of REAL. Is it possible to expose Chicago’s hottest player—without getting played? This is the story I’ve been waiting for all my life, and its name is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Don’t be fooled by that last name though. There’s nothing holy about the man except the hell his parties raise. The hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, he’s a man’s man with too much money to spend and too many women vying for his attention. Mysterious. Privileged. Legendary. His entire life he’s been surrounded by the press as they dig for tidbits to see if his fairytale life is for real or all mirrors and social media lies. Since he hit the scene, his secrets have been his and his alone to keep. And that’s where I come in. Assigned to investigate Saint and reveal his elusive personality, I’m determined to make him the story that will change my career. But I never imagined he would change my life. Bit by bit, I start to wonder if I’m the one discovering him...or if he’s uncovering me. What happens when the man they call Saint, makes you want to sin?

OK, that was not what I was expecting at all. Manwhore was super sexy, but it was funny and quirky as hell! I loved it! I actually avoided this book judging entirely by its cover and title. I am glad I finally read it. It was so much more than just a sexy read, (and it was a sexy read!)

Rachel is young and determined. She has a couple issues in her life that drive her passions. When her editor assigns her to Malcom Saint for her next story, she takes on more than she ever expected. I found her character, for the most part, charming and sweet. There were times that I really wanted her to make a different choice or do things differently, but I’m not Rachel. (I may have wanted to knock her upside the head a few times, but it works out.) She did her thing and I actually liked the way things ended. Her character development was great and I was rooting for her the entire time. I think it would be hard not to. She really is a sweet character.

Malcom…. Oh Malcom, Malcom, Malcom… Yeah. He was something else. First of all, he was HOT. Gorgeous, powerful and oh so sexy. But what makes him great lies deep down. He is a great hero. I love his attitude. He is always one step ahead of the world and owns every room he enters. With Rachel though, he is tender and playful. He really is great. I love the way he pulls Rachel from her bubble and challenges her to push her own boundaries. They balanced each other nicely.

I wanted to kill Gina a few times with her darkness and negativity. (Her penis embargo shouldn’t be everyone’s problem.) I think she was supposed to present as a fierce super friend, but she wasn’t my cuppa. She was too overbearing and lacked support in all the ways Rachel seemed to need her. But the guys were great. I think that this was set up nicely for the series to continue with the rest of the crew. And even Gina will probably grow on me. 😉

Overall this was a solid read with plenty of character development and world building. The steam factor is off the charts!!! I mean WOW. I guess opposites really do attract! I read this one in a day. It was quick and once the drama set in, I was already completely hooked and had to know what was going to happen! And you may as well buy book two while you’re at it, because this one ends on a cliffhanger. It was a great cliffhanger. It ended the way it should.
