Alessandra Torre

I hired her to fix my company, to bring Marks Lingerie back to life. I didn't expect her to become my friend. I didn't expect to fall in love with her.

The first rule of business is to never touch your employees. I think there is another rule about not falling for your best friend--a rule against imagining the curves of her body, or the way her breathing would change if I pulled down her panties and unzipped my pants.

Now, I can't wait any longer. I'm tossing out the rules.

Damn the company.
Damn our friendship.
Damn my fears.

WARNING: This standalone is packed with sexual tension, insane chemistry, and enough surprises to keep you glued to its pages. May cause distraction from life and require a change of panties.

Wow what a hot hot read. I haven’t read a book with this much sexual tension in a very long time. Kate and Trey have immediate chemistry, but this story takes us on a years long journey of resistance by one or both of them at all times. There are so many things at stake for them if they get together. Namely Treys company and their friendship that they work hard to build. One or both of them seems to be in a different relationship at all times, but their first thought is always each other.  Torre masterfully builds the intensity between the two of them without so much as a kiss or even any skin to skin contact. One of the best scenes in the whole book is dependent on a pen. I’ve never been so turned on by a pen before! I really loved how much Trey actually cared for Kate and that he was just as afraid of getting hurt as she was. The agony of them wanting each other, but knowing they can’t have it, was a hurt that felt so good. Each time they shared a moment, they pushed the boundaries of their friendship further and further, making their hearts(and the readers) ache more and more. The payoff in the story is more than worth the wait! This book is the perfect way to keep yourself warm in this cold winter!

5 stars and many shots of vodka! Enjoy!
