Liam "Hunter" Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil's Jack, he knows his duty. He'll defend his club from their oldest enemies-the Reapers-using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers' president has a daughter who's alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her.

Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club's president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger-a man who isn't afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he's The One.

Or so she thinks.

“I’m with you, Em. Don’t doubt that, okay? No matter what happens or what you hear…Promise?”

Seriously! Joanna Wilde cannot miss! This third installment of the Reaper’s Series was par for the course! I ate this book up in one day it was so amazing.

“You deserve a man who’ll fight for you, baby girl. You remember that, all right?”

In this book we are introduced to Liam “Hunter” Blake who was a lifelong Devil’s Jack. Finally we get the background and the other points of view compiling the story of what really happened during Em’s kidnapping! The story fills in the holes so we learn what really happened behind those closed doors while Sophie helplessly listened. Although this story isn’t full of flowers, kittens and rainbows, it is fun, raw and gritty just like an MC story should be.

Hunter has spent most of his life living as a Jack and they are the only family he knows. He was assigned to watch the Princess of the Reapers MC. His task quickly changes as he realizes that Em is no ordinary girl. Em just wanted to be free. She had been living her life sheltered under the protection of the Reapers. And one day she met Liam… Online.

Their relationship started as a lie, continued under duress and concludes in pure MC glory. Nothing was easy about what they wanted and what they felt, so much stood in the way of their happiness. They were threatened at every turn. Their families and MCs were warring as they were coming together… as story as old as time, but nonetheless more painful.

“No offence, Em, but us being together is way too dangerous and crazy to risk for just sex. Fuck that. I want do to this right. Are you with me?”

“They’re your family, and now they’re my family, too. I’m not a civilian and I didn’t fall in love with a stockbroker. I fell in love with a Devil’s Jack. I know what it means to wear a cut.”

This book captured me from the very first sentence. I’ve been waiting to read Hunter’s story since the last book. Em was a complete badass! My favorite heroine from this series thus far! She showed incredible strength and courage throughout the book, even acknowledging when her choices weren’t the best. I loved her! And Hunter was full of biker deliciousness. What really anchored the story was the background we were given. We were offered quite a bit of history on both the hero and heroine; understanding that these two only really knew the MC life and their respected MCs made their every action and decision that much more compelling. You definitely need to read Reaper’s Legacy before you read this one. Just know that when you hop on the ride that isDevil’s Game, you are in for tons or action, adventure and sexiness.
