She refuses to be owned.

Alexa Parrino escaped a life of servitude and survived danger on the streets to become one of the most trusted, influential people in Sector Four, where the O’Kanes rule with a hedonistic but iron fist. Lex has been at the top for years, and there’s almost nothing she wouldn’t do for the gang…and for its leader. Lie, steal, kill—but she bows to no one, not even Dallas O’Kane.

He’ll settle for nothing less.

Dallas fought long and hard to carve a slice of order out of the chaos of the sectors. Dangers both large and small threaten his people, but it’s nothing he can’t handle. His liquor business is flourishing, and new opportunities fuel his ambition. Lex could help him expand his empire, something he wants almost as much as he wants her. And no one says no to the king of Sector Four.

Falling into bed is easy, but their sexual games are anything but casual. Attraction quickly turns to obsession, and their careful dance of heady dominance and sweet submission uncovers a need so deep, so strong, it could crush them both.

“Everyone needs to prove they’re strong. The truly strong only have to do it once.”

Alexa and Declan sitting in a tree, F U C …. I know you finished that line. It’s OK you naughty thing, I like it, and you would like Beyond Control. This is the second foray into the sectors by Kit Rocha. This story fleshes out (pun intended) the relationship between the leader of the O’Kane gang and her man. Not to be outdone in her first book, Kit lets the fists, whiskey and sparks fly in this deliciously dirty fight for control between two people hell-bent on keeping for themselves and giving control to one another.

“I’ll be any man you want. A king or a beggar or a farmer or a killer. But I’ll never be the man who can let you walk away.”

Outside Eden life is rough. The sectors are dangerous, each with its own leaders and rules. Sector four is ruled by the O’Kane gang, a bunch miscreants who like fighting, fucking and drinking. I know what you’re saying, where do I sign up? Ah, but it’s not that simple. You have to prove yourself, like Noelle in Beyond Shame, Cruz is walking that line to make a name for himself inside the O’Kane gang. Parallel to the main plot, there are many sub-plots with amazing characters like Cruz (former Military), Six(former slave), Ace(sexy tattoo artist) which are all intriguing stories unto themselves.

This is a wonderful second book in this series. It hits to the heart of the gang with the leader and her man in conflict to see who will give in first to their love. The story flows like smooth whiskey and gets you drunk on a handful of characters that will light a fire in your belly, each more tasty than the last. This novel is deep, brutal, sexy, fierce and funny. I love it on many levels. Hell, half the time I don’t even understand the emotional side of it. It is beyond me as a male. Even though, the book is a great read. I only have one bad word to say about this chapter in the Beyond series. Fu** ya!

Four stars and serve it up with O’Kane whisky!
